How to's, questions and build alongs for those who make or want to make their own gear made from leather. Get some tips on how you can make your own quiver, arm guard, etc. to go along with your Custom Traditional Bow.

So here we go.
I'm going to use some acrylic on the detail that I want to resist the antiquing gel.
I put two coats on and let it dry overnight.

Then I use a dobber to apply the antiquing gel.
Put a generous coat all over and wipe off the eccess right away with a paper towel.

After it dries good, wipe it all over with a dry paper towel to kind of buff it out.
Then apply a good coat of Carnauba Cream.
Wipe it evenly and let dry.

After it's dry, buff it with a dry paper towel and you get an effect that looks something like this.

Wow that’s awesome! Never heard of that stuff, thanks for sharing this, seeing lots of potential in this teaching tool.

Do you need the unfinished veg tanned leather to be able to tool it or will other letters like Latigo work too?
