Then clamp the edge and being careful to keep it all lined up, set it aside to dry for a few hours.

Also not a bad idea to ckeck the fit of the knife now, because you could still move the spacer or something if you need to.
Ah, it's a good fit.

Love that small knife, and now your putting the icing on the cake. Nice work.
Re: Lets make a sheath for a baby antler handle knife.
I take the needle from my stitching awl and use my drill press and drill through the leather into wood.
This is the easiest way I have found to get through the three layers with glue.
Seems to work better than a drill bit but a 1/16" drill bit will work fine.

I like to tie off with a surgeons knot on the back side a couple of holes from the bottom. I think it protects the knot better.
Cut the tag ends at least 1/8" long.

I cobbled around on a few of these in the past, they worked but wasn’t much to look at. And today I learn that you should use a spacer!
Re: Lets make a sheath for a baby antler handle knife.
Yes, a spacer helps to prevent cutting the stitches when the knife goes in and out.

Now lets put a little touch on this little guy.
Usung the acrylic finish, I paint on two coats on the feather detail.
I wait about 2 hours between coats and let it dry overnight.
