Back quiver and arm guard for UBM Festival auction

#1 Post by dhaverstick »

Well, after many long hours and sore fingers, I finally finished my donation to the United Bowhunters of Missouri Festival live auction. This year's offering is a back quiver and matching arm guard. The maroon leather is bull hide and the golden leather is cape buffalo. The light trim and bling are deer hide. I burned the shapes onto the leather with a wood burning tool. I carved the lace hooks and buttons from deer antler and sewed everything up by hand using artificial sinew. If you want to bid on these items, come join us Saturday, February 10th, at the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center in Springfield, MO. You'll meet some fine folks and spend the day talking about bowhunting. How can you beat that?

Do you have to be there in person to bid on the quiver? I really like that one Darren! top notch work as always.

around how many hours do you put into stitching one of those masterpieces up?

Love it! I think the ancient indian type art is the topping on the ice cream.

While I certainly do love Darrens beautiful work, I also love yours Dale. Different personalities produce different looks and aspects. Both of you are excellent in your own rights.

Thanks, all! Hopefully, they will make the club a little money. Yes, Clay, you do have to be present to bid on these items.

Just a thought, Darren...after the UBM festival is done and over, you could hold your own auction here on the site if you so desired.
Aim small, miss small!
