2. I also Re-learned that everything taste better cooked outdoors, over an open fire, and in this atmosphere!
And the guys in this Deer camp have mastered the art! Nothing like coming to camp to a pot of tater soup while pork loin cooks on the fire. Green beans, corn on the cob, Deer backstraps, Elk backstraps, And Deer heart we’re also in the menu. Unfortunately I didn’t get to try the Deer heart since it was the day after I left, I just got tease pictures! The deer were in no real danger but we were, of over eating, but sure was good.

But sometimes you just got to stay out there and rough it so you can do some scouting.

Looks like a great time.

It was fun, although I’m too old for a lot of that!
There wasn’t a lot of money spent on this little trip either. A few snacks from the last Dollar Store on the way. Gas may have been biggest expense. Contacted a local that owned property that joined the WMA, also owned a campground, and stables. Not only did I get permission to cross his property right by his house, but ended up renting a motor home from him for a night. Fancy!

Re: Carp’s going huntin!
We walked from the camper to the woods where we hunted. We laughed at ourselves when we realized what bows we were using. Of all the bows I own, I was hunting with my corona bow from China, cost me $92.00 shipped. Mark was hunting with a bow I did a build along on here several years ago. It was the one I called El-cheapo. I made it from leftovers I had, my only bow I made with a short 12” riser, came out about 50#. Little much for me, I ended up selling it to him for $100. Strange that we were both carrying our cheapest bows! Lol

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
