About a month left of season I have 1 either sex tag left. Could buy another doe. However, there is no need. I have enough meat in the freezer now. Gonna enjoy the rest of the season and hunt some spots/properties differently and try to fill it with a buck. I may even try to stay on the ground in the thick stuff. Not going to be real picky now. I know a guy who likes to make antler handle knives that can always use more antlers!

Well, I suppose it's time to close this out. We do have n extended doe season in high population areas and along I-70 and I-35 from kc to Topeka. The closest spot I can hunt is only about 25 minutes away. Had a good season. Had alot of opportunity for some smaller bucks which I passed on. Never did see any of the big ones in person. Initially they were coming to the acorns great, then about mid November they slowed way down. I was getting 500+ pictures a week. After Thanksgiving up until last week I had 95 pictures of which 20 were coyotes or Turkey. I'm gonna slow.down some next year. Also I only plan to hunt with 1 bow next year, as I hunted with 4 this year. Thanks to all who followed along.

Looking forward to doing this again next year. Come to think about it. Season here starts the middle of September. That's just over 4 months. I have. Few stands I need to move based on movement i seen last year. One stand needs lowered its 20' up and way too high. My spot closest to home had a bunch of walnut trees harvested. It hasn't changed movement from what my cameras show. May be a interesting season.

Man oh man. Looking forward to riding along with you. Season is looking pretty bleak for me this year, again.

+1, Dave!
James, you had one of the coolest hunting threads I ever followed. It was like we were all hunting with you every day for a couple weeks! Looking forward to 'our hunt' this year! :D
