Re: The Joy of defeat!
I've been trained not to. The 1200 acre farm I hunted on really, really wanted me to let anything under 130 walk. It is amusing how that breakfast is about as tempting as sitting in a tree. Enjoy your time away. Share it with the Lord and He just might give you a gift.
Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.

Thursday evening; big loggerhead Doe passed by below me. She avoided both trails I was sat up on, stayed 25-30 yards away, and in thick stuff, never offered a shot that I felt comfortable with.

Friday morning we had rain, wind, and cold. There was a time when this didn’t matter, I’m over that stage in life, just don’t care as much anymore!

We were able to get out mid day and scout some new area, found some good Buck sign. May have walked too much, both souls came off my boots!

I have never seen that before.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Friday evening; hunting new area, and another strange experience with a small Buck. I had a Buck within range on every climb. Mark said I should leave my phone in my pocket so I could shoot! He wasn’t as lucky, I think he only had the one on the first day. I am not really a trophy hunter but I refuse to end my season on a small immature Buck, we only get one Buck tag in Ky, and I usually have to eat mine after the season. Still not shooting a small one just to say I killed one!
Anyhow; this spike came in tracking me like a dog on a track! I took its picture about 13-14 yards, but was going to video it and my phone went dead. It came in right under me, spitting range, looked up and starred at me, saw no danger in me, or maybe the bow, then slowly walked away!

Glad you are seeing some deer. That can be a tough place. You past me up on the way over.
