Carp’s 2019 Hunting thread

#1 Post by Carpdaddy »

One more week, season opens here in Ky on September 7th, next Saturday! Thought I would do a thread also to take others along on my hunting adventures.
Preparation time now, I have been shooting and sharpening Broadheads, today I dulled a few!
 My first Broadhead test drive of the season is ready...

Walked around at varied distances that were unknown, started 12-15 approximately, then 15-20, then somewhere in the 25 yard range. Getting good flight, best from Zwicky.
Not great but all in plate!

Is that your bow that has the forest debris?
If it is, don't lay it on the ground in the woods, you'll never find it. ;)

Different bow Graps, that was yesterday’s bow, but you are right!
Yes I use reflective tape on my hunting arrows, proven to be a good idea for me.

Even the soy and corn fields were grown up with weeds, rained so much after planting that he didn’t get to spray the fields. But looking closely you can see that the Deer is still eating the tops off the soy beans plants.

:( Center of picture, right at fork in tree, there is a ladder stand. You can see the rail a little on right side. Corn and weed field behind, Chestnut oaks around.

From it I can see Mark checking out an old gun hunting stand from days gone by.
We checked on stands also while scouting.
