Re: Carp’s 2019 Hunting thread
Well I got to feeling a little stronger today so I got the big idea of going to a ladder stand set up among some large chestnut oaks. My buddy hauled me on his side by side so not much walking was involved. I got in the stand and strapped myself in and thanked the Lord for another opportunity to be outdoors. It was great to hunt again but things didn’t work out as I had hopped. There wasn’t a single acorn to be found on or under the trees! Another hinderance was that every time I stood, twisted around, looked up or down, etc. I would get light headed. So I kept a tight rope on my harness and continued to be grateful to get out again. There is just something special about sitting quietly in a stand although I didn’t see as much as a squirrel 🐿. I sat until dark and along came my friend to pick me up right under my tree. A few views... I intend to stay grounded unless something changes with my health, this was my first climb since opening day.

Good to see you got out Tony.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
