Greg's 2019 hunting Adventures.

#1 Post by Greg Felty »

Went out this evening for the first hunt of the year. The wind was blowing from the north so i chose my south stand. I got in the stand at 4:30 didn't see anything till 7:00. 2 does came out of the tag alder swamp and headed for one of the river crossings. They were about 70 yards away. As i was walking out i walked up to about 10 yds of one, it snorted and took off and scared the crap out of me. I had a great first day except for having to change my under shorts.

They were probably making fun of you as you waddled out of the woods.

Lol, I have had similar experiences Greg. Nothing like a good loud deer alarm while your walking out in the dark!

Back at it this morning. Nothing but a few sand hill cranes flying over. Beautiful morning sunny and 50 degrees.
