I know a gut that has one stuffed with raw wool that he got from a friend of his.
He has been using it for years and occasionally replaces the bag.
It stops the arrow very well and he can pull it out with almost no effort.

This one I learned years ago.
Cheep cloth gloves and duct tape on the fingers for hunting glove.
It works amazingly well.

I use rr tie banding for trade point broadheads. The banding is laying along the tracks free for the taking. I make mine 3"x1". They are stronger than you might think, they sharpen well and just require a little touch up now and then.

Any place that sells utility trailers, like your local tractor supply store, will eventually be glad to get rid of those styrofoam blocks they use to rest the tongue on. I take one with me hunting to shoot my practice broadheads into. They last quite a while. Probably the whole season. You can also spray adhesive them together and make a backstop for your ordinary target.

WD-40 is used by some carpet cleaners to remove stains. I used it on car interiors when I got a little sloppy and left fingerprints and smudges. Spray a little on a clean rag and wipe the spot away.

I never did use the stuff on guns or to break stubborn bolts free.

It was also good for removing moisture from distributor caps and spark plug wires many years ago.

If you have a drain plug that didn't seal because you forgot the gasket or you simply need a new one for whatever reason, instead of draining the oil out or trying to replace it quickly with the oil pouring out, simply have someone remove the oil cap on the top of the engine and use a shop vac where you add the oil in while you change the plug. It will keep the oil from draining out. Really.

I don't think I ever tried that. But I did cut the three fingers off those cotton gloves and put them over my shooting glove when hunting or cold.
