Re: Tab
I just never could get the feel from a tap. Just an old school finger guy.
Re: Tab
Dave- What gloves are you using/tried? Are they only wearing out on the Velcro strap closure or is the leather wearing out? I have used the Neet glove as pictured above for 5 years with no issue. I have a Damascus, which the elastic on the strap has stretched and worn out. Do you shoot 3 under? If that is the case, I imagine you would like a tab more than a glove. I do not like a tab for split finger shooting. Loved it when I shot 3 under though.
Re: Tab
Just the Velcro part. Glove has plenty of life in it. I have been using bear paw black glove which is nice and thin and has a super slick release. I had a neet glove for three years and gave it to a friend when he started up. I have also tried bear paw classic glove and their traditional glove which looks similar to the neet. Both are far too thick for my liking.
I shoot three under and my new tab already from eagles flight archery already arrived. I had my first shoot with it yesterday and already like it better and the build quality is superb. I’ll be ordering a second one for a backup.

Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.
Re: Tab
That looks good and should last many years. The black material looks looks similar to the Black Widow tabs, and I used one of those until an episode with my fingers and carpal tunnel slowed me down a while. Someone recommended the "Super Archery Mitt", and I've been using one since. I thought they had been discontinued. Maybe this is the original or slightly different. I'd have to handle one to be sure.
https://www.3riversarchery.com/blog/gloves-tabs/ (it's the last tab shone) The leather lacing wraps around your wrist and you adjust the length to keep it snug when shooting. I've really come to like mine even though I still have a few Alaska Super gloves with cordovan fingers tips. There’s one in every crowd! They’re called “SAM” tabs or “Super Archery Mitts”. They’re not really a true tab or a glove. SAM tabs are more like a tab than a glove, but your fingers slide through the fingerstalls, allowing them to wrap completely around your fingers. Then, at the shot, they travel with your fingers much like the finger stalls on a glove. They’ve been proven to increase arrow speed and they’re quite comfortable. This has made them very popular with traditional bowhunters. They can even be slipped over thin hunting gloves when out in the field for double protection. Super Archery Mitts are especially popular with bowhunters and the 3-D crowd.

I found this picture on line just to show what the other side looks like.

Re: Tab
Here is another view of how it looks on your hand. I was afraid I'd lost mine until I looked harder. Glad I found it. These things are like old friends.
