I have a long way to go. I sure hope it is worth it. They used a piece of my hamstring to graft a new acl I guess.

Hang in there Tom. Hopfully this is the beginning of a great thing. You may regain a lot of your natural abilitys. Allowing you to enjoy some things you have been giving up. Like chasing big bulls in your old honey holes.

Little update.

Had my first follow up DR. appointment since the surgery. I saw the Physicians assistant and she removed the stitches and said everything went well and looks good. She asked if I wanted my pain med script renewed (Oxycodone) and told her no. Those things and I did not get along at all. I took myself off them days ago.

So far I am right on track with their recovery time line and physical therapy is going well. Should be walking without crotches while using my brace by end of the week.

Oxycodone is nasty stuff. It makes me goofy as hell. I was on it for back pain and quit taking it on my own. Aspirin worked better and left my head clear.

I like Tramadol. Many say it doesn't do anything for them, but it helps me without getting me all goofy like Kirk

ps, I don't like that oxycodeine stuff either. Although, I like my codeine with Tylenol much better than with Ibuprofen when I had to take it. It made me less goofy
Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.
