Ahh, rapca
I was out stump shooting with a friend today, warm temps. soft breeze, shooting well. I found a flint drill that the Indians used and some small flecks of flint along a small stream. I was having fun. We picked our next shot, I came to full draw and something felt wrong. A subtle click, felt more than heard in my bow hand. After I shot I started to examine my bow, yep, it broke. Just above the fadeout the fiberglass separated and I could see a small crack in the wood of the first lamination. I was very disappointed. I just stood there. The friend I was shooting with is also the man I bought it from, he said the warranted was up, we both laughed. Oh well, they all break sometime. I shot a lot of arrows through it, killed some animals, missed some animals. Good thing I have a backup.
It is a northern mist whisper, 59lb, 68". I will be looking for another.

Sorry about the bow. Glad you didn't get hurt.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Oh wow, that sure puts a damper on a good day, sorry to hear this.

Sorry to here that Jon.
That's one thing I hope never happens to one of my bows.

I had one do that very thing a week before going on a bear hunt years ago. I did not have a back up or the small collection I have now. So ! In your case. It probably could be worse timing. I’m sure that makes you feel better. NOT!!! Lol But every bow just like every device has a life span. Sorry to hear it though

Sorry to hear that. I guess you can be happy that it didn't let go while at full draw, though.

Sorry to hear of your loss, but glad you didn't get physically injured.
The worst was when a bottom string loop broke when I was at full draw, left a welt chin to forehead!
I've had a lower limb slowly fold up while at full draw, no injury just heart break.Captainkirk wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 9:04 pm Sorry to hear that. I guess you can be happy that it didn't let go while at full draw, though.

Forgive me, I've only had a few sips of coffee, haven't prayed yet and I'm all congested, but I'd rather be in this shape than have a favorite bow break. Bad news indeed. But, just maybe your next one will feel better in your hands than the old one. Could be
The only traditional bow that I can remember (yes, another problem ) breaking was when one of the fiberglass bows I found in the supply room closet in Viet Nam broke on the first pull after stringing it up. I don't recall it whacking me, just cracking and breaking. Luckily, the second one lasted the rest of my tour there.

Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.

I shoot my backup decently, it's an Elburg "Old Tradidition", 68" 62lb straight limb longbow. It is a little lighter in the hand which causes me to have trouble keeping it from moving upon release, I need to get use to it. It'll be fun, but I'll always miss my whisper.
