Tony if you're ever up this way you can give it try. Anytime I head south it's usually on the bike so no room for the bow  Jason you're right the list is long. However for what Jim will be doing on my next bow ( a lot of custom work with inlay turkey spurs, antler knuckles and tips. All in honor of my uncle who got me involved in the outdoors & hunting as a child) and the way he treats his clients I'm willing to wait a bit. Again I'm new to this but it seems many of these builders have some sort of wait, they all look awesome, and I read they all shoot well. So many great choices, I wish I could buy'em all.

Howdy. I started shooting a bow with my Dad back in the 60s, then drifted away for the next few decades. He passed away in 1998 and left me two longbows which went unstrung for most of a decade. Then one day in 2007 I decided to get back in the game. One bow (lemonwood) did not survive the experience. The other, in osage orange, is still going strong. It was made for my Dad the year before he joined the Navy and went off to fight ... the Empire of Japan. My avatar photo shows me shooting the bow.

In the last ten years I've scratched the archery and bowhunting itches pretty hard. Just can't seem to find the cure ...
