Simple but effective Poor Man's Bow Rack

#1 Post by Bowferd »

I've had this on my mind for quite some time and decided last week it was time to get my living quarters organized. I've always displayed bows in my retreat living area but never enough room for all the bows and gear.
Wanting an inexpensive alternative to hang most of the bows in close proximity.
After a few hours of cutting, sanding, staining, and a bit of peg work this is what I came up with.
Image
Originally only 7 pegs placed 9 1/2" apart.
Image
5/16" dowels for pegs with Bohning Classic nocks installed.
Image
This shows it filled with 13 bows after someone suggested I try to utilize the room available more efficiently.

I'm pleased and the cost was minimal using wood from the scrap pile and other materials I had on hand.

I like the arrow nocks! That's cool. I've made them from deer antler, but yours looks great.

Fred, that is nearly identical to my rack. My pegs are 5" apart.
