Man! It's good to see you getting ready Carp! I'm not doing that yet, I need to get on it though! The weather has been nice this past week. Maybe I can get out soon and get started. If that happens, it'll be the first time I have done anything pre-season in years!

I wish I could, but again no guarantee I will draw a permit for the local PHL.
Aim small, miss small!

Finally feel ready, a few more stands prepared yesterday morning. Look closely at my nest in the big tree in the center of this picture. This is the area where ole big boy busted me last year, I'm trying to hide better this season. See my hang on?

And there I is in another area after finishing up on another hang on, testing my draw up there.

And now home to wait for season and wonder which stand to hunt on opening day! I downloaded an app last season called "Hunt Stand", it shows purposed wind direction for different times throughout the day. It helps me choose which stand.

Yep; some low land here. Near Cumberland river, several small creeks running through property. Much of what we hunt is under water during rainy season. This helps some with snakes and ticks, but them there skeeters look like birds! During this dryer season most of the fields are corn and soybeans, deer can get fat!
