Back, Bow, or No Quiver
Never meet a Quiver that I really liked, just always felt I needed one while hunting.

Re: Back, Bow, or No Quiver
I have one of the old vintage Bear bow quivers. While it requires judicious application of self-stick felt in contact areas to make it shut the heck up, once done it's well-behaved and handy.
Aim small, miss small!
Re: Back, Bow, or No Quiver
I have a back quiver... But I am strongly thinking of a bow quiver also might go to a quiver by great northern that looks like a bow quiver but has a shoulder strap. Back quiver catches on stuff and I want a rig that is dead quiet. Any suggestions would be great.
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

I use a kwikee quiver with an army belt. I keep in on my side till I get to the stand then hang it from the tree or stand.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I prefer a GFA quiver because of the versatility.

I often put arrows in a cheap bow Quiver and stick it in my rope style backpack. Feathers stick straight up out of it over my head. When in thick cover I use a small clip and fasten it to my backpack with fletching down, don’t get caught in limbs this way. I’m strange though.
Re: Back, Bow, or No Quiver
I really enjoy a nice hill style back for for small game hunting and target shooting/roving. But for serious hunting, especially in thick cover I don't much care for them. They get caught up on stuff and while tucking it under your arm helps when pushing theough the bush it still isn't full proof. If you have to crawl on your belly then it really starts to be a hassle.
For big game hunts and in the thick stuff I think a bow quiver is hard to beat. I have tried the big Jim strap on, the great northern strap on and a selway slide on
The selway is my favorite so far, it has the best compromise of weight and sturdiness.
The big Jim is light but kinda flops around and wiggles too much for my taste. The great northern is rock solid but rock heavy as well. The slide on straps of the selway give you a very secure connection to the bow without a lot of weight. The down side is that it's harder to remove on the fly.

Re: Back, Bow, or No Quiver
I have several back quivers, don't use much. This one I retired after one hunting trip. Had to become a wall hanging. Had it made by a great leather worker in South Africa, Anton De Wit. check out his work at his web page.
