Eagles Flight Archery

#1 Post by stumper » Tue Feb 19, 2019 4:42 pm

For the longest time I was anti bow quiver. I didn’t want something that would change the weight and balence of my bow. I looked at a neat selway quiver that looked like a bow quiver but had a shoulder strap and quickly found the price more than I could afford.

So I kept looking and at the suggestion of one of our members picked out an Eagles Flight Archery Apache horsehide quiver. I had been ground hunting for the longest and the back quiver was so noisy. I wanted the lightest possible quiver to hold at least 3 arrows. The Apache is a four arrow quiver and had a top and bottom strap and quickly attaches to the bow. I wanted something that could easily be transferred from bow to bow right and left handed and this fit the bill. At 60 bucks I think it is one of the least expensive quivers in its class and I was able to persuade my wife to get it for my b day last September.

I am super impressed with how it has held up to the abuse of Louisiana’s climate and despite being switched from bow to bow to bow the modern Velcro shows no signs of wearing. And true to the dr Seuss I do not like green eggs and ham, I wouldn’t go anywhere without this bow quiver attached. I have also recently order one of their tabs and again the quality is top notch. I highly recommend and will say from day one I have not noticed the extra 6 ounces.

They even have a more economical bow quiver that is riveted instead of sewn and is only $45. Not to mention every time I have ordered something from them it has shipped the same day I ordered it.

If you dont like velcro attached quivers they also have a a couple other mounting options and offer offset mods for super short recurves and long bows. Really a super company.

Fine looking quiver, I have heard good things about them, and the company for that matter. I am using a Big Jim’s, his uses a stretching rubber strap, also does very well. The issue with mine (and this one appears the same way), it’s probably just a personal preference with me, but it is how the bottom holder being where they are brings the fletching out in front of the bow, I prefer they angle back more. So instead of using the bottom part I use one of the old quickie quiver bottoms.
I did notice that you said they offered offset mod, so now I got to look them up!

Very nice looking quiver. I will have to check them out for my other vintage bows, Dave.

I am still on the original foam insert and was able to purchase a second insert for 5 bucks. Some models are sold in multiple sizes depending on how many arrows you want and what size are your broad heads. Eventually I'm going to go back to a 2 blade broad head and I think I am going to do several 1 arrow quivers for the rest of my bows. I also bought a mesa quiver for my hunting buddy will which doesn't require inserts and it works really well. The 1 arrow quivers look awesome and are only 32 bucks.

I have been wanting to try one out but never seem to find them on the used market or the swap threads which is how i get most of my quivers.

How sturdy is it on tbe bow? Any wiggle to it?

No wiggle at all strap it on as tight as you want.

I have had the same experiance. I have several.
They are solid. I prefer the 4 arrow version. Light weight, dont even notice them.

They have limb bolt and riser mounts also. I have no experience with them though as I really like the strap on which is called their talon grip.
