European Skull mounts...who's done em?
Re: European Skull mounts...who's done em?
I have done 10 so far this year, have several more that are supposed to show up yet. I built a cooker from a plastic barrel cut down and a 110v water heater element. Works great! I can fit a few in there at a time and leave it to do it's work unattended.

Thats awesome Josh! Im having a bit of trouble getting all the grease and yellow out of my sons deer skull. Im letting it soak in Dawn, baking soda, borax, and oxyclean mix for a few weeks, and see if that helps. If not, I may have to go the Acetone route that taxidermist recommend.

If you can keep that water hot it will decrease better, the water heater element works great for that.

Here's another tip: aquarium heaters are cheap and work great for keeping your degreasing water hot.
