After you get the hang of it maybe 15 20 minutes if you get out of practice it takes a little longer. Knapping is very relaxing practice on glass and have a gentle touch.

Those two are obsidian I usually have to buy material haven't been able to find any workable rock where I live gonna try some more this summer may have to heat treat to make workable.
