Well, that was fast!
I approved you less than an hour ago!
All the better. Welcome aboard. I think you're the first NZ on the forum!
Glad you've joined us. Tell us a little bit about bow hunting over there. Inquiring minds need to know!

Re: new from NZ
Thanks for the welcome , its Saturday afternoon here and raining so a good chance to browse. I'll be sure to post some info about hunting in NZ, basically no tags, no limits ,and can bowhunt/hunt in any national park by asking for a permit(free).
my own experience is limited to small game( turkey, wild goat, possum, wallaby, rabbits etc) and chasing a couple of Red deer around trying to get close enough . went from stick bows as a kid to compound for target competition , then a hoyt recurve and shortly looking at getting a cheap to moderate price wooden take down recurve.
My 17 yr old son is currently living in a hut in a national park for four months trapping possum for their fur , he has an old bow of mine ,and hopes to get a deer , what a life
at some stage I'll do a post on what things are like for hunting out here in more detail
cheers

Wow, that's very neat. I remember when I was a kid and would camp in the woods.
Keep the stories comeing, that's the kind of things we like to see on here.

Wow, looking forward to hearing more! You should get your son on here as well, but if he's living in a hut...well, internet connections aren't so good.
