Short water side of the funnel I hunted. Only saw a family group, with two small yearlings. No pics, but I had them at 5 yards or so between me and the water.

Yeah - it was hot. Temp was supposedly 88 F, but I'm pretty sure the heat index was 95 F. I was soaking wet after climbing my tree. It really is too hot to be hunting, but hey, what else am I going to do? No football yet and the waterways are too crowded with boaters/jet skiers for fun fishing.
