Your favorite?

#1 Post by Captainkirk »

What is your favorite small game head? Some folks prefer judos, others use a regular broadhead or a blunt. I am finding the Bunny Busters offered by 3Rivers intriguing:

...as they are pre-weighted and DO NOT need to be glued on. Think I'm gonna order a handful and try them out for accuracy. Has anyone here used them, and if so, your opinion?

Easy question, the Small game thumper, they put the smack down on rabbits! works about as good as a judo for a roving point too, by far my favorite blunt.

I also like to use cheap 3 blades and sometimes file then tips down about 1/2 inch.

They look great, BUT....
I shoot woodies for the most part. Those appear to be designed only for screw-ons.

They have glue one too. Actually the smg on the right is a 125 glue on with a 125 steel adaptor.

I agree with graps. Best head is a ace hex blunt. I also use bodkins with the tip cut off for squirrels. One thing to keep in mind with the bunny busters is they slip over the end of the shaft and decrease your arrow length in a way because if your arrows are cut 1" past your riser the rubber will hit your riser as you draw. If your arrows are a little long I bet it won't hurt. That's just my experience with them. I bet they'd knock a critter out though.
