Some do seem that way, and I'm careful to really check them before buying one.

My Carhartt coat lost not only the pull, but the little do hickey that the pull attaches to. I looked up the Carhartt warranty and wasn't real sure of what they would cover so I called customer service. They will send you a complete zipper, or parts to fix the zipper, and if that doesn't suit you, they will pay shipping both ways for my coat and fix the zipper themselves. How about that? I'm a happy camper now. :D :D :D
