Sons first turkey
Been trying to get my oldest son Triton a bird for couple years now. There just aren’t any birds around here anymore. Friend of mine offered us to come up and hunt with them yesterday . We had a great time. Met some great people and saw some beautiful country.
Morning hunt was a typical morning hunt. Gobbled good on roost. Then got henned up. Didn’t waste no time getting back in blind on different farm little after 12. Dang was it hot in the blind. We were in his best afternoon spot he said. Had some feed through the decoys early then it got slow. About 5 decided to get aggressive on the call. I was using my mouth call and box at same time. Then went into some hard cuts and used my gobble call. Bird answered up in the holler by us. They probably been there all afternoon listening just wouldn’t say a peep. So I stayed aggressive got couple gobbles out of them then they shut up. Told Triton they would probably slip in quite. Took them about 15 minutes to hit the field. Lead bird put on a show. Srutted and spit and drum the whole way. Both birds gobbled several times. Made there way to decoys and he dropped the hammer. 24lbs with a 10 in beard. I was a train wreck and got it all on video. If anyone wants to see it PM your number and I can text it to you. His daughter got a nice bird yesterday morning as well. Then he had his nephew on the other side of the farm we were on yesterday. Literally 3-4 minutes after Triton shoots they shoot. There bird shock gobbled at our shot. Was a great day woods. Three youth hunters three turkeys down.

Congrats to your son.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Great story. Thanks for sharing. Hunting turkeys with kids is so much fun.
Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.

Congratulations on the only thing more enjoyable than getting one yourself!
