proper ethics

My brother in-law has not shot his bow sends last August , he came over to our house with his bow to shoot .
He had not seen the longbow that I got last October and wanted to try it .
Well he was tired out from shooting his 45# recurve and was ready to try my Dwyer Dauntless longbow . It's 55# draw and I was a little concerned if he could handle it seeings he has a disability .
First arrow missed the bottle cap to the right by about an inch , the second arrow slammed the first arrow . The third arrow slapped the first two .
I didn't realize that my bow was defective .
He pulled the three arrows and proceeded to put the next arrow in the same spot .
I informed him that it's not proper etiquette to out shoot his brother in-law with his own bow .
I will add that this was at 20 yards and I had mentioned that he should shoot up close but he said he wanted to try it from 20 yards .
My wife has still not stopped laughing about it .

Only let him shoot your bow if you are trying to sell it! :mrgreen:

What a jerk!
My brother in law is much nicer. He can almost hit the target with my wife's 25 lb Sage but typically blows through the backstop if I give him my Grizzly.He's such a decent guy :lol: makes me feel better about just being able to hit the target.

On a related note: Dale, I've been thinking of picking up a new target and that Block is on my list. How do you like it?

Those black holes are wonderful , I leave it out all the time . the last one I had lasted about 5 years and would have been much longer if I hadn't shot broadheads into it .

I hate when that happens. I was instructing some young people, good 15 minute lecture. First shot, robinhood @ 20yds.

I do not think I gave the proper instructions. Beginners luck?

I have one of those block targets too. I use old pie tins with a nail centered on the target. Sometimes we shoot after dusk and it is hard to tell if you hit the block. The pie tin makes a nice noise to let you know your in an 8 inch circle. Nocturnals help too.
