Deer hunting season?
When does it begin where you are? Ours here in Ky usually begins in the early part of September. Some of you are in Turkey season now where ours has ended already.

August 10th in Nevada. All tags are in the draw system. Tags will be drawn May 27th. The wait makes for a long couple of weeks.

Historically, deer season always came in the middle of October until the last two or three years. Now it comes in the last Saturday in September--have not seen this year's opening day yet. I did see that for the first time in the history of our state, the DNR is going to allow crossbow hunting during archery season. It has become all about the all mighty $!

DTD; there were rumors of Crossbow hunting with archery here but it didn't pass last season. But there was quite a large part of the season where crossbows could be used, I expect it to be even more this season if not for the entire archery season. Guess we will look even stranger packing our stick bows.

Archery season starts Sept.15th here. Lots of proposed changes for deer hunting, mostly due to the large die-off we had a couple years ago.
Crossbows are on the list to be allowed in archery season.
