What are you doing today?
Well, some say they don't pipe up on the forum because they don't have anything trad-hunting to talk about....well, no more!
What are you doing today?
Mowing the lawn? Going to the job? Re-shingling the shed? Doesn't matter...stop in for a cup of coffee, pull up a log to the fire and talk about it! It can be about trad archery or hunting, naturally...but not required. Hell, if you are clipping your toenails we want to hear about it (but no pix, please!). I don['t care if you're new here, an old-timer, or what...friends get to be friends by sharing what is going on, so...SHARE, dammit!

Re: What are you doing today?
A quiet day at work for me, I'm here alone for the next hour or so. Plane's in the hangar, not flying and I spent to afternoon cleaning the hangar and planning out tomorrow's work. I may try to fling a few sticks after work tonight, the wind's been hellacious the last few days, which means Ix-nay on the Icks-stay (they tend to wind up in places I really didn't intend...)
How about you? Pass the coffee...

Waiting for my new A handle riser for my Bear Takedown extra limbs that I have .

Re: What are you doing today?
Went by Marks work and stole the riser block out of his truck, brought it home and cut it out with a dull blade. Then had to do some touch up work and painting for the boss, recently put her a new patio door in and needed some caulking and paint. Cooked dinner for the family, it came in a Little Caesar box! Tapped up fiberglass strips on Marks build, done some final sanding on lams, checked thickness, and tinkered with riser block sanding to get a good fit.
Re: What are you doing today?
And oh yes, I made a bad ugly string for the Hornfrog! Wanted to try a B50 string on it so I found some nearly empty rolls in green, red, and black, yep; that's the color! Then I shot it some, this is required when you get a new string. Not content so back to D97.

I got my cup.. now, been busy planting while it was dry enough. Was going to shoot some arrows tonight but it's raining again.

Re: What are you doing today?
Since my last post I have done some more prep work on Marks bow build, mowed two yards, and let a weed-eater attempt to kill me! I am of the opinion that the feller who invented that thing has little chance of making heaven.

Mmm campfire coffee. Send 'Er this way!
Just work for me today. Some odd vehicle problems. Recent rains have caused some funky electrical gremlins!
Picked up the Baby Cookie and had her help me make dinner. Tidied up the kitchen then put lil' Miss to bed. Now enjoying a snack and some TV time with Darling Wife. Bow is at the in-laws', it being illigal to shoot within city limits so no shooting tonight.
Kirk: you fly? Personal or professional? If personal, homebuilt or factory-made? Pretty cool either way.

I've flown a little...had about 8 hours logged before I realized I was pissing in the wind. It cost more money than a mechanic made to get to private pilot so I flew when I could...so, the answer is, no. No license.Cookies wrote:Mmm campfire coffee. Send 'Er this way!

I worked GA for 30 years and was part owner of a maintenance shop before landing this corporate gig on a Falcon 2000....

Did not get to flinging the sharp, pointy things tonight...by the time I was ready to, it was time to go to the gym. After I got home, I built a campfire out back and sat out with my son and granddaughter making S'mores and stargazing. Daddy's upstairs giving her a bath now...mommy needed a break tonight. All in all, a good night.
