Sanding first is best since it makes for a flat and thinner surface for chopping. Good catch Scaler. I have an elderly couple in my Church that has been threatening to eat one of their many big white geese, if they do they said I could have the feathers. Anybody ever got to try them?

Some use a different color feather for the cock feather, our Turkey's don't come in many colors so I like to mark the cock feather. You a smart-M Kirk.

A lot of nock brands have a little tab you can feel in one side, very helpful before daylight in a stand.
