Arrow Tuning

#1 Post by a16ksb »

Hi all.
I'm from the UK and have just registered.
I recently moved to trad archery (wooden arrows and feathers) after shooting Olympic style recurve and want to know do you guys do bare shaft tuning with wooden arrows?, as I it seems not many people do and I feel it is important

Regards
Keith

Yes I do. Feathers clear up (hide) a lot of problems, but if you can get them to fly straight without them, then they will be fantastic arrows even in wet weather.

I do even though most of my shots are 16 yards or less. Better safe than sorry. Welcome to the site Keith. :)

Welcome aboard kieth!
I have no idea what you and these people are talking about, but I'm interested. How would one go about tuning an arrow? It sounds like a complicated process requiring high-tech measuring devices.
