Deer season opens next Saturday September 5th

And I'm not ready as usual. Heads to sharpen and test, or test first then sharpen. Then there's the hard decision, who to hunt with, I got a Hornfrog and now Kirk wanting to go.

Our deer season don't start till October 1st .
I prefer to hunt alone . Have never taken a deer with a hunting partner .

Yeah, but stay safe, graps. Plenty of solo hunters injured each year. Better yet; take one of your newbie friends and mentor them. It's the gift that keeps on giving!

Wow Graps; (you ole stick in the mud) no hunting partner, that takes a lot of fun out of it.
On a serious note though, I do like having someone to help when I'm successful, and someone to share yarns with after the hunt. Someone should always be there to meet you after the hunt, and they should know where your hunting just in case. Now I'm not talking about being in bow range of a partner but leaving the truck and meeting back with. By the way, when I brought the subject up about who to take I was referring to which bow; the Hornfrog or the latest bow called Kirk.

Every time I have deer hunted with someone else , they would walk around or come to me after a couple of hours and ask if I seen anything .

I'm with you Graps. I know what your talking about. Tried it, but I've hunted and fished for the most part by myself most of my life. If you go with some people, there's always something.

I was mowing my paths today and I saw some stumps that looked suspicious . I think that I should be shootin' 'em cause they could be a problem .
