Venison roast

#1 Post by Graps »

This is so simple , I learned it many years ago from a coworker who was a bow hunter too .
Place a 1-2 pound roast or steaks in a casserole dish .
Put a can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup on top and spread out but not to thin , kinda glopped on .
( Yes Kirk , take the soup out of the can and throw the can away . )
Now sprinkle one packet of Mrs. Grass Onion Soup mix all over the whole mess .
Bake covered at 350° for about an hour .
You will have a very nice gravy kinda broth that you put on the meat when served and or over potatoes .
This is my favorite way to do venison , I have done it with beef and that's good too .
Warms up nice if there are leftovers .
Try it and enjoy . :P

So simple, there's nothing there. Now that is simplicity defined! 8-)

So now he comes back and puts the recipe in.... 8-)

That's a very good one, graps. I've used that very recipe myself and it got rave reviews in my house.
Works very well in a covered roasting pan.
Yes, I took mine outta the can.

That is a great one, graps! I grew up with that same recipe on pork chops and rice.

Can't wait to try it on some game!
