New member here from WI. Im both a trad and compound bowhunter. When Im trad hunting, its with a homemade RD lam longbow I made and homemade arrows fletched with feathers from the turkeys we have killed. The arrows are tipped with homemade broadheads (Single bevel) and Im sporting a homemade arm guard and finger tab and wearing homemade camo and using a homemade quiver and knife. Likewise I do my own butchering and sausage making and euro mounts and hide preservation (for project). Glad to be a member.

Glad you joined us! You sound like a pretty homespun hunter. I like an archer that can do all his own stuff...sort of a renaissance man.
I'm not that talented. Yet.

Thanks for joining up Staysharp, sounds like your like me, either too broke to buy stuff or just enjoy making things yourself. Both of which are true in my case.

New member here from NY, I'm traditionalist over on Archery Talk. I'm purely a traditional bowhunter, mainly using my tomahawk diamond ss longbow and my 1959 bear kodiak. I'm 17, and have been shooting recurves for 10 years now, fletched and crested my own arrows since I was 11. Looking to learn a thing or two from this place. Just thought I'd stop in to say hello!
