Anyone making their own wood shafts?

#1 Post by Gamestalker »

I recently ran across these:

And, I got to wondering if anyone here has ever used one or something similar to make their own wood arrow shafts?

I've made a few shafts using a small trim plane, a handful of sandpaper and a drill. Never checked spine, fletch he'd or shot any of them though.

www.poorfolk bows.com has some good tutorials on arrow making as well as a few neat bow build-alongs. Sam presents his stuff in a real easy-to-follow way (even I understood it!) and he emails right back if you have any questions for him. Super friendly guy!

I think that's actually where I heard of this site, come to think of it

Have not. I still am in the learning process of building my own arrows.
