Looking for Nocks

#1 Post by Gamestalker »

I need to get some more nocks for building some new arrows & replacing broken & lost nocks. My arrows are 5/16" cedar. I have been looking & can't find any available like what I've always used. Here's a pic of what I'm looking for:

Does anyone know where to find these?

Hi, Al...those are very similar to the Bohning Classic:

or the Martin Nirk:

but not identical to either. The way I go through nocks I would buy a dozen of the ones you prefer and just start replacing them as needed. I recently bought 100 of the Classics because that's what the last half-dozen I bought came with and my new arrows came with Marco Snap-Ons.....go figure!

Haven't saw those for sale in a while, don't even know who made them. I have a few on arrows in a bow rack in my house, don't know where to find them now though.

Yep, double checked, same type. Those arrows are probably older than I am.

Yea, it's been a while since I put those arrows together too. It was somewhere in the early 80's.

Those Martin Nirk's seem to be about the closest to what I have, so I'll probably order some of them. Thanks for the help Kirk.

Those are "Speed Nocks" Not around any more. A similar nock with that throat is the Mercury nock. I think I got some from The Footed Shaft or maybe it was Lost Nation

I use a lot of similar nocks. I think those are Nirks, but a Mercury would be a good replacement. They are all I shoot on woodies and aluminums.
