I think what will happen is that many new members (unpaid) will frequent the site until a draw for a prize they can legitimize spending $10 on comes up....then you'll see an increase in people paying for memberships.

The site, and concept are very well thought out and will be successful regardless of how members are attracted...it's just how quickly those members sign up. Good things don't always happen quickly, so as in bowhunting, perhaps patience and time will pay off. That said, offering BIG prizes, and advertising when those BIG prizes are to be drawn, will attract paying members. I'm sure the influxes in paid members will be directly proportional to the draws...unfortunate, but lots about human nature is unfortunate!

Like I said in another thread....This site will be like a heavy arrow who's momentum will be hard to stop once it gets going.

Maybe another enticement? .... a member drive give away for "new members"... say the next 15, 25, 50 or 75 (you decide on the number, and the math) new members that sign up and pays his or her ten bucks goes in the pool a winner is drawn and that member gets his membership free (refund or paid up next year)? Then it starts again? Might be too complicated? Just a thought...

I guess its a good idea I have noticed that it dropped off fast after intial membership I did not think 10 was that much but that IS 2 gallons of gas Oh well as pointed out I cant imagine lots of people NOT paying the 10 once they are here for a bit

I think what ever you decide is best. I do believe that we need some more members and I really think that this is something like I said earlier, It will take time. But I also believe that everyone that hasn't signed up has not done so because of the membership fee. Why I have no idea. Economic times are tough and the Lord has really blessed me immensly, and I have been in places finacially where I would have siad no at the time. I do think that once people come and see it is for real and it is to saty they will pay eventually. I personally know that if you would make it a mail in some more people would join. Alot of people will not give their card numbers over the internet be it to paypal or to any other site.

Sounds good to me and remain patient brothers, they will come.
