Beman Centershots

#1 Post by Captainkirk »

I bought some light carbon arrows for my '69 Bear Tamerlane (35#) target bow on the recommendation of Jimmy Blackmon after complaining that the arrows I was shooting flew "low and slow". I set them up to shoot off the brush rest, full length for 35#@ 28 with my 29" draw length. These were 500 spine with a 100gr field point and tip the scales at a whopping 395gr.
To say it shoots like a different bow is an understatement!
They fly like darts, fast and flat and group better than, well...better than I can group them.
These are 3-fletch 4" feather arrows. They would be WAY to light for hunting, but for 3D or practice they are the cat's meow!
Highly recommended!
After all, accurate backyard shooting is what makes us better hunters.

Fear not, good sir.
Still gonna stick wit' me woodies for the meat-maker.
I mostly shoot the T-Lane at the indoor range; the carbons just seem to make sense for target 3D work. Don't give up on me just yet  !
