Say goodbye to GoPro for hunting & hello to its replacement

#1 Post by Ron Kulas »

Im super excited about my primitive archery bear hunt that starts on Monday but now Im even more excited because Luke Hansen with Ultimate Predator went above and beyond ensuring me that I will have my new camera in time for the hunt with what is sure to be the hunter’s camera that replaces the Go Pro. They just released their new Adventure cam that does so much more than the go pro and solves all the shortcomings of the go pro because it was designed by hunters for hunters. Not only is it superior but the price blows go pro out of the water. On top of that, it comes with accessories (included) that bow and gun hunters will want.

I paid full price for the camera and am not compensated nor affiliated with this product but I have been eagerly waiting for the release since I learned about it last summer. Check it out at

side by side video with a go pro hero 4 showing how Ultimate Predator has eliminated the go pro (everything looks so far away) problem.

Wow...that IS a good price! Gave up on ever owning a GP due to the price being close to double! Thanks for the link, Ron!

I just had a friend of mine show me a camera similar to this one. It has the LCD screen on the back but I am not sure about the other features. I was going to get more info from him but the big thing is that he told me he really liked it and it only cost...$59

I've got a GoPro Hero 4 Sliver. I didn't have to pay anything for it though. My last employer had this award system where you earned points that you could use to purchase items. I used some of my points to get the GoPro.

The biggest thing that I don't like about it is that there is no zoom capability. I haven't really learned all of the functions of it yet, but it's also a little too easy to change the settings accidentally when you're using it. That might be just me though.... not being familiar enough with it.

Im still old fasion, and behind the times I reckon. I had 1 ol moultree (sp?) Game cam that dont work right given to me....outside of that I own no hunting cameras at all...as in zero, zilch, notta....

Id use them, but I cant bring myself to buy them and spend money on them, when I feel other hunting needs are more important. Oh they'd be nice, thats for sure...but I guess I've survived all these years hunting without any, guess it aint gonna hurt to keep going without. I'll just have ta look at everyone else's neat pics and videos, and drool!

there is "sort of" a zoom feature...but it doesnt work on the fly. You can change the settings from wide to medium to narrow. Essentially, it just crops the edges and digitally zooms. Even in narrow, subjects around 20 yards will look like 30yards, but at least its better than looking like 60!
I use a gopro for my youtube channel, but I also use my canon DSLR and canon camcorder. Im going to attempt to film some hunts this year with the gopro mounted on my head, and the camcorder on a tripod. Im more concerned with getting a deer though...camera work is secondary.

As to the original post, that is something Ill have to seriously look at!
