south ms.....the sponsors are very important here and on any website that is member driven..i plan on keeping things rolling along so we dont get to bored around here.i think a lot of people that sign up are doing so to have another trad site to roam to if they get tired of another.these forum websites get very old very quick with the same old questions and stories recycled over and over.thats just how it is.there are only so many subjects and topics to be covered so we will have to spice it up a bit.

I like the idea that Coaster 500 threw out there about the drawing for new members (on page 2 of this thread), there may be an initial spike in the membership numbers due to the smaller pool and therefore better odds of winning.
I also think the time of year is working against you too Larry. Not much can be done about that except ride it out. Just speaking for myself here, but I know my computer time is way down since spring finally got here, and can reasonably imagine the same for a lot of folks. Hang in there man!

Larry, agree with you about keeping the site interesting, this will be the biggest boon to continued success. Once things become dull and mundane people's attraction begin to wander. And that is why I believe the site will have to offer more than just a "chance" to win to keep people's attention, understand i'm also here for that too, but it's not the only reason.

Larry, I think you are doing a fine job and it will just reach out and amaze all of us one day.
Keep the vision, in my opinion you're doing everything right.
And Mr. Roy hit the nail on the head. There are a bunch of us out here and in time they will come around.
A lot of visitors may not be wanting to participate openly. They might possibly be looking for a new to me bow, or arrows, or a new quiver.
There has not been a lot of posting in the classified section, but that only enhances the fact that the members that are already here are more interested in the knowledge aspect, not in the buying and selling.
I believe from what I've encountered that TradHunter is point on in the right direction. >>>----------->

Thanks roy and fred, i truly believe in this site along with others like yourselves and really feel this site will become what i dreamed it to be.the biggest hurdle we are facing is getting new members signed up,wheather they are the paid ones or the free ones we have slowed way down on new signups.i also feel that as we grow the forums obviously will start getting used more and more.thanks, larry

Well you had some pretty well known people before but I see some of the well respected ones from other sites are starting to show up. The saying "if you build it, they will come" will prove correct in time. Good to see Rick, George D, and ecspecially my buddy Larry A here.
