I was trying to remember what the reason was, but can't seem to pull it out. It seems like it was something about the cost & not really being any easier to climb with. I'm not sure though.

I watched a video on the sit & climb model, strange critter for sure. Don't know why the bar hangs down on them rather than straight out like the others. Would like to test drive one but I can't afford to even look at that price! Now that I've got used to the bar and arm rails around me I wouldn't feel comfortable without them at first, I'm sure I would again in time. I had no such for many years, no climbing aid at all.

I watched it too. Ive been looking and thinking....I really don't see that much to the sit and climb for it to be that much money, or that much superior to my Summit. Looking at my Viper SD, I cant imagine the LW climber is worth the extra $150-$200 over the Aluminum Summit Viper SD. The sit bar being out of the way is a nice idea, but im not paying the difference in price for that. I know they pack flat, but at the cost of dealing with manual engagement of support bars every time you climb. I dont have that much trouble with packing the Viper even if it doesn't pack as flat , and I wouldn't have to fiddle with another step, or another thing to go wrong out in the woods in the dark.

After consideration, im sticking with the Viper.

Unless I'm mistaken they weigh about the same also if you have the one that's around 15lb Jason.
