Dont be getting wimpy on us Jason! I ate my wheaties this morning and think my next bow may be a couple pounds heavier. I think 49# seems like a good number. I dont want to mess my shoulder up and have to get split open and stitched back together later in life though... somebody posted pictures of their shoulder surgery wound on tg and that looked pretty damn gruesome.

Trust me, Clay...discretion is the better part of valor.
If you can make do with a light(er) bow, your body will thank you down the line. Fortunately for me, my injuries two years ago (from pulling a too-heavy bow too many hours for too many days in a row) were temporary and healed after a two month lay-off (the power of "toos/twos") but once you tear that rotator cuff you's in deep weeds, brother. I think Jase is thinking proactively about having a custom bow he can shoot not just this year, but ten years from now.

Smart thinking about getting a bow that will last.

I'm still working on figuring out what weight I like, I started at like 40 id guess, then about 44 then 46 and I'm not sure about my next one. somewhere between 45-50 we will see what happens.

There was an older guy on TG who kept making threads of him doing weight reductions on his bows because he couldnt use them anymore. He did a fine job grinding material off his limbs, he was taking tons off too, like 15 pounds!
