A few weeks ago, my wife and I took a drive to Bob Morrisons. I wanted to try one of his wood ILF risers and was interested in a 15 or 17 inch. I have always had issues with short bows and shoot the longer ones better. I wanted a 60 to 62 incher.
After meeting Bob and Barb and handeling the beautiful 15s and 17s, I saw a fine looking Bacote and Gaboon 13". I picked it up and although it fit my hand perfectly, I laid it back down as I didn't want to go that short and went back to the longer risers. That little riser just kept calling my name.
I told Bob that I would like to shoot a 13" riser and he asked me to try his personal bow which was a 13 and a 54" bow. To make this story shorter, I fell in love with that little riser and took her home with me. I asked Bob to make me a set of long foam core limbs, with copperhead skins. I've been shooting a set of medium Black Max limbs, making a 56" bow, on it and waiting on a call from the Morrisons. It's the smoothest short bow I've shot and have done well shooting 3D with it the last little bit.
I got an email from Barb yesterday saying my limbs would be shipped today and should be here by Thursday! I'm all aflutter and chomping at the bit. I just had to tell some one!
I'll post some pictures when I get em set up.
Morrison Limbs on the way
