One if these days I'm gonna pull the trigger on a K mag. I just hear way too much praise for them to NOT pay attention.

However for graps, the very worst part of this whole thing is just how sentimental it is and the attachments surrounding it. Nothing can be done really it's spilled milk.....but that don't change how it makes a fella ache. :(
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

That's gut wrenching. Especially with the sentimental aspect to the bow.

There's just something about those Kmags. Sweet little bows, highly underrated, IMO

Is it cosmetic or actually going to be threatening to the life of the bow?? I remember when I dropped my Slick Stick on a metal drum and I got that dent right in the edge of the limb. Good news for me is that it has made it over a 1000 shots without showing any sign of worsening... Wish you well on your repairs.

It's not damaged that threatens the functionality of the bow. It's just a case of spoiling the looks of something that can't be replaced.
I just got a Javaman Helms Deep 52" for the very reason that I like a short bow and I don't want anything to happen to the old K-mag.
If the new bow breaks, I can replace it.

I would steer clear of the sandpaper unless you are planning on maybe a 1000 grit wetsand. It most likely will buff out from what I can tell.Ask jose I am sure he can give you the right remedy as he has way more experience under his belt than I do.
