Any Old Ben Pearson Bows out there?
Hi everyone,
I started out a few years ago with an old Ben Pearson Hunter 709 (hence my forum name) that I got off ebay for $72.00 + shipping. I basicly knew nothing about this bow but I thought the wood was cool and that 42 pounds would be good to start with, plus the price was right. From some online research I believe this bow was made in 1966, it shoots pretty good for being 45 years old. It has been a fun bow to learn on and still enjoy shooting it, I have only taken carp with this bow but who knows maybe one day I will get something a little bigger.
Let's see some other old BP bows.
Here it is by a deer rub
And an elk rub.
On my fence after some target practice.

Hey that's a sweet looking setup! Thanks for sharing it. I've never shot a Pearson but, know folks that have.

Here is my favorite Pearson that I have. It is a '69 Mercury Marauder TD 60", 60#@28" (64#@29 1/4". She is very smooth and quick. In the last year I've shot a coyote, bobcat, whitetail buck and a black bear. I'll post more of my Pearsons soon.)

Here is my Mercury Hunter it is a 53#@28" or 57#@29 1/4". It is just a good of a shooter as the Marauder just not as easy to transport on a plane. A very nice bow with absolutely no handshock.
