Ramin?

#1 Post by wood »

I love heavy arrows and was thinking of ordering some Ramin shafts. Anybody here have experience with Ramin or an alternative to Ramin that would make a nice heavy arrow?

wood, I've never used Ramin shafts but have and still use poplar. It's heavier and stronger than POC.
Also stays straight.

I have a new Sunset Hill longbow on the way and it should be here next week and I want a nice heavy arrow for it. Although I specifically asked about Ramin, I am thinking some ash or hickory might be good choices too. Anyone have experience with ash or hickory and how hard are they to keep straight? I have cedar and doug fir but still looking for something a little heavier.
