MY arrows are not like kirks. Simple stain,4 coats of tung oil, fletched and finished. They do fly perfect and that is all that matters.

It should also be worth noting that the bear paw arrow glue I am using is superb. I made my last 6 arrows sometime last year and have yet to lose a fletch other than skinning one with another arrow. So glad I ditched the fletch tape.

The kodiak hunter doesnt seem to have many fans compared to the others in the bear lineup, I have never held one but to me it is one of the more attractive models .


as far as glue goes I have been testing out DAP rapid fuse, so far so good, i like it better than normal superglue, does leave a white haze and is not brittle.

Welp, based on my thoughts the other night, I decided to give the K-Hunter another chance to redeem himself. I CAN say that he gave it the old College Try. While my grouping was not as spot-on as the little K-Mag, it wasn't half bad on the average;



Yes, shot again with Jase's arrows. I couldn't recall what the spine was, so I checked one real quick on the old Rube Goldberg spine checker and got .500 deflection (around 52 spine) so they are right in there.
It's nice playing with these old things. It brings a sense of satisfaction.
I am finding, especially with the Kodiaks, that my grouping starts to fall off fairly quick in the equation, maybe after 2 dozen shots or so. But practice makes perfect, so I keep on slugging away.
