I would like to see a build along for a leather grip. Either laced or glued. Can anyone do this?

Watched Big Jim do a beaver tail grip once, I envied, but my attempts have not been so positive.

I've done spiral wrapped with suede .
It's the easiest way I have found to do it and it looks neat.
I don't need a bow done but I could possibly do one anyway.
