Just finished this bow case

#1 Post by dhaverstick »

I finished this longbow case tonight for a friend of mine that I grew up with. He's going to give it to his son, Chet, for a graduation present. I never had made one of these before so it presented me with some unique design challenges. In fact, I'm surprised it turned out as well as it did.

The dark brown leather is moose hide and the lighter brown leather is elk hide. I lined the quiver and the inside of the case with some Sherpa material. The arrowheads and name are made from ostrich leg skin. Everything was sewn up by hand using a couple miles of artificial sinew. I sure hope Chet likes it!
