Crow feathers for fletching?

#1 Post by jaydee2trad »

Let's just say that a big crow with some buddies spent a little too much time in the backyard today. The 22 cal PCP reached out and touched it. Anyways, it has some decent looking feathers, nothing spectacular but they look doable to me for fletching. Anybody else ever use them for fletching? I harvested both the wing and the tail feathers. I figure any feathers big enough to work will do. Thanks for any input.

I don't have either but figure that it shouldn't be that hard. crows are fairly easy to come by as you know. Since I have gone to heavier FOC arrows, a narrow feather should be just fine other than being black.
