Anyone making plans for this season?
Anyone making plans for this season? I'm sure some of you are planning on getting out with the stick & string this fall! I put in for my usual permit...I'll have to see if I draw one again this year.
Aim small, miss small!

Scouted a creek. Close to home. Put a couple boards up I. The crotch of a tree to stand on. Might have accidentally planted a patch of rye right in front of it.

Private land. I’ll take a single doe or lone buck.
Not after a momma or trophy. The jerky tastes the same I. The end.

That's true, Clay. And a whole lot better tasting than track soup.

My plans are no longer in play
I finally got my shoulder looked at by a specialist and the MRI shows multiple torn muscles and ligaments. There was something else, but I don't recall what it was at the moment. Anyway, they said I shouldn't move up on bow weight. The 30# bow is not what I want to hunt with. Now they are setting me up to see a Orthopedic surgeon to see if surgery is necessary
Yeah it really sucks getting older

Oh, man...that's sad news, Tom. But probably best to get it taken care of now than later. You'll probably heal faster and by next season be in good shape to go back to your draw weight. One of our pilots just went through this and it was hard work to come back through it, but he's back and all the better for it.Elkman wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 8:37 am My plans are no longer in play

Woo hoo! Got the email today that I have drawn an October permit! I won't know what zone of what 2 week period but it will be in October! My son drew one as well for the same month but he shoots one of them wheelie things, so I won't go into details.
Aim small, miss small!
